Tenerife is known as the island of eternal spring and the south is famed for its year long sunshine. The souths modern airport, Reina Sofia, is only fifteen minutes drive from the resorts of Los Cnstianos and Playa de las Americas this area has taken giant strides in a short period of time to become a major holiday destination.

There are a number of attractions to add to the starkly beautiful landscape. The Ecological Park boasts one of the finest collections of birds of prey in captivity. The Pyramide de Arona in the spectacular Mare Nostrum hotel in Playa de las Americas offers one of the finest shows of classical dance in all of Spain. The Tenerife zoo and Cactus park have a huge selection of local plants. Between the airport and Los Cristianos lies the Karting Club Tenerife. There is a Grand Prix circuit for competition karts and a junior course for the younger members of the family. For sports fans there is an eighteen hole golf course and a par three course within fifteen minutes drive of Los Cristianos and Las Americas. There are tennis courts at many of the complexes. For water sports enthusiasts there is underwater diving, windsurfing, water skiing, paragliding and for the less energetic there are pedaloes and jetskis. For the nature lovers the island offers an incredible variety - the volcanic landscape surrounding Mount Teide (over 12,QOOft high), the norths lush green valleys, pine forests, desert and hidden villages. Los Cristianos started life as a picturesque fishing village and has been gradually transformed in to a thriving port with beautiful sandy beaches and pedestrian shopping areas. The Church Square, Cultural Centre and Sunday Market help to create a real community atmosphere. Our featured complexes are particularly suitable for families and those looking for a restful holiday. Victoria Court I & II, Paloma Beach, San Marino and Cristian Sur are all modern developments within easy walking distance of the town centre, beach and bus terminal. All have swimming pools, cafe/bars, restaurants. Certain complexes have receptions, laundries and supermarkets on site. All have an excellent selection of shops, bars and restaurants close at hand. Set on a hillside overlooking Los Cristianos is Oasis del Sur. Here accommodation is offered in two fine holiday complexes Royal Palm and Port Royale. Both are laid out in Andalucian style with low rise apartments set around swimming pools. There are receptions and restaurants. Nearby there are supermarkets, bars and restaurants.

Playa de las Americas - The Beach of the Americas was named to commemorate one of the last regions of the old continent that Christopher Columbus saw before the new world. It has changed considerably since then, now its a lively collection of hotels, apartments, discos, restaurants and bars stretching along a seafront promenade measuring over three kilometres. The sandy beaches are superb for bathing and there are a variety of water sports on offer. Parque Santiago, Compostela Beach and Andorra are all situated at the quieter end of Las Americas very close to the beach. All complexes have receptions, bars and supermarkets and are ideally placed for the most popular shopping centre in town. Torviscas forms the far end of Playa de las Americas. Pueblo ToMscas, Garden City, Parque Royal and Tinerfe Gardens are the properties on offer at this area of the resort. Each complex is within easy walking distance to the beaches of Torviscas and Playa Fanabe. There is a large selection of shops, bars and restaurants in this area and the centre of Playa de las Americas can be reached either by foot or a short taxi or bus ride.
